The Knitted Vest

I hope you are well and coping during what feels like an eternity of another lockdown. If you’re feeling a bit rubbish then just remember, better days are coming soon and this will only be a distant, slightly dreadful memory.

I haven’t written any blog posts in 2021 because I’m afraid university might have finally finished me off. Kidding, kind of- I’m still going for now but unfortunately anytime not spent procrastinating is time spent writing my dissertation and doing coursework so I haven’t had much motivation for blogging. With that in mind, you’ll be happy to hear this is going to be a short post (mostly photos) since part of my procrastinating recently included a Zara sale shop, with one item in particular capturing my attention. As you probably sussed from the title, it is indeed one of those knitted vests everyone and their granny has already been wearing on Instagram.

I have been obsessed with this trend from day 1 simply because it screams Chandler Bing, however the one I opted to purchase turned out slightly less grandpa style than his unfortunately.

As you may know I love anything colourful so this stripey Zara number screamed out to me when I first saw it and for once I withheld my desire to purchase it straight away… which paid off because it went on sale a few weeks later! It’s perfect for Spring with some pastel and turquoise hues but still cosy enough that you won’t freeze outside. I’ve just styled with some blue jeans and a white shirt- and yes, I did just wear this outfit around my house since there is no where else to go yet, but the day we can go for brunch again I know exactly what I’ll be wearing!

Here it is:

If this one isn’t your cup of tea, I have linked some others I have had my eye on:

If you want that Chandler Bing vibe:

Back to the dissertation I go!

Hello! My name is Stephanie Elizabeth, I am a student/ writer/ fashion lover from Scotland . From a young age, fashion has been an immensely important aspect of my life, and in the past few years this love has grown from my discovery of Hollywood legends such as Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Diane Keaton and many more. Through this admiration, I was able to appreciate the many eras of fashion and the unique interpretations of style which keep it interesting and ever changing; it is the individual takes which I love the most, as it is completely expressive and different for every one of us. So, I am excited for this next chapter of my life to see how my own style( and life) evolves during university, lots of travelling( I hope) and beyond.
