Am I writing a full post about a pair of jeans, you may be asking. Maybe I am but, before you stop reading, these aren’t just any jeans, these are the style of jeans I have been desperate to find for a while and I am just so happy to have finally found them. It’s difficult for me to put into words how much I adore them but I’ll still try, even though I know no one else will understand why I am quite so obsessed with a pair of trousers.
Finding a good pair of jeans can actually be very challenging, especially if you are on the shorter side like me- 5ft 4inches to be exact- but they are also one piece of clothing I don’t think you can really grow tired of, which makes it worth the time searching for the perfect pair.
As I have said before, I love everything about 90s fashion, and these jeans seem so reminiscent of the straight leg style I’ve seen in so many photos from that decade. I have also been watching the 90s sitcom ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ from the beginning for the past few weeks- absolutely loving it by the way- and in the first couple of seasons Debra wears a very similar style of jeans that are amazing. And of course, in the early seasons of ‘Friends’, Monica and Rachel become absolute style icons with their straight leg jeans. So from now on these are going to be called my 90s sitcom jeans.
They were recently purchased in H&M, which is one place I would highly recommend if you are looking for a good pair.
My brown aviator jacket is from River Island a few years ago and it has served it’s purpose very well indeed- it is the cosiest jacket I own. This style seems to constantly come back in to style, so much so that my dad informed me when I was wearing it that he had one just like it when he was 24 (sorry Dad but wow that was a long time ago).
To me this is a quintessential outfit for an autumnal walk in the park, and these jeans are the quintessential throwback to what seems like simpler times, so what’s not to love.
Basically, yes I did write a full post about one pair of jeans.
