Whenever it comes to shopping for summer, Zara is my number one shop; I honestly don’t think any other shop does summer clothing as well as them. I love bright colours and bold prints, especially on holiday when I start to feel a little bit more carefree with my style, and there are so many pieces in Zara which ticked these boxes. Walking into the Buchanan Street store in the beginning of June before my trip to Orlando was like looking at a rainbow and I was in love- unfortunately for me but lucky for everyone else, almost everything I purchased is now on sale so you can find the pieces I bought half price in some stores or online!
The first piece I bought was this sort of Hawaiian ‘dad’ shirt which I thought was quite quirky and different. It has so many different colours in it and is so loose, so it’s perfect for somewhere with a hot climate. I paired it with some denim shorts and I just felt like one of those cool Californian girls- if only the climate in Glasgow was warmer so I could wear these outfits more often. It was such a comfy shirt and I would definitely recommend for anyone on the lookout for something to brighten up a pair of denim shorts or even jeans for a slightly cooler climate.
This dress was actually a lovely present I got for my birthday this year and I believe it is now in the Zara sale. It felt slightly big on me at first so I paired it with a red belt to tailor it slightly. We were walking around the Disney town of Celebration that day in the 30+degree heat and it was the lightest dress to wear. It comes in a cherry print in a really rich shade of pink which is great if you are as pale as a ghost like me and you need a bold colour that won’t blend in. It also just floats on you which I completely love.
The third dress I bought was this mini floral orange print dress. The colour of this caught my eye straight away; orange is always a colour I love to wear because it actually looks alright with my VERY pale skin. This dress was another one which was perfect for the extremely hot Orlando weather as it was also completely light and floaty and I loved walking around with it on. It is slightly short which I quite like because it keeps it youthful and fun, but something to keep in mind for any taller girls.
The last Zara outfit I wore on holiday was this mint green polka dot set which I was obsessed with from the minute I saw it. I will be wearing this outfit all summer long and will probably write more on it at another time, but all I can think to say about it right now is that I absolutely love it. It looks so classy yet playful, and makes a perfect day to night look as you can dress it up or dress it down with a pair of trainers or heels. I wore it when we went to see the fireworks at Magic Kingdom so unfortunately it was mobbed and difficult to take photos but I am definitely taking this with me to Budapest in two weeks so more photos to come…
As you can tell from these photos, I took it to Budapest!
I’m sure I will write more about Orlando later but for now, hope this inspires you to pop into Zara and see what sale bargains you can find for summer!
Sincerely,
Stephanie
