It’s clear from the grey skies and rain that summer is completely over now, which honestly makes me quite sad. All of my holidays have been and gone and it is time to go back to reality and back to university. However, the sun is not the only thing which has disappeared, as my summer wardrobe has now been put away for another year; though it is not quite all bad news, as the leaves are turning golden and falling off the trees which means it is time for Autumn style, which I happen to love. It is time for woolly jumpers and scarves, long coats and pumpkin spiced lattes(I’m such a cliche) so I thought I would discuss some of the key features of my Autumn style, including some of my recent purchases for this season.
One of the things I love the most about Fall fashion is the warmer colours that begin to dominate my wardrobe such as rust orange, burgundy and gold, as well as being able to add more layers to my outfits, especially lots of hats and scarves.
However, after my most recent purchase, I am most excited about wearing basically every form of coat, especially the long ones which make me feel like I’m in a 90s romcom (yes I have an obsession with the 90s). I was in Primark a couple of weeks ago and saw a check coat at the very front of the store and immediately loved it; I did try and tell myself that I should be stop myself from spending money but the coat was just too pretty not to buy. I cannot wait to wear it out and about over the next few months, either dressed up with heels and a fancy outfit or just into uni with a jumper and boots. After wearing the coat out, so many of my friends have said to me that they were wanting to get it as well; I definitely think it may be the coat of the season, having featured in Glamour magazine last month. It has October written all over it; the perfect coat to welcome this golden month with!
I also bought a few jumpers the other day (Primark again) which I thought looked cosy yet stylish, perfect for the cold uni days in October. I would definitely recommend having a browse because Primark is on top form at the moment and actually has one of my favourite A/W ranges this year so far! Their range of jumpers come in many of the different colours perfect for this time of year, and the style of a knitted jumper/jumper dress is so easy to wear for any size or age with a pair of skinny jeans and some ankle boots.
