If you follow me on Instagram then I must apologise for the complete spam of holiday photos I have been posting for the past week but there were just too many pretty spots in Barcelona! Anyway, it would have been impossible for you not realise that I spent the past week in Barcelona, and most of the outfits I wore were from the high street this season, so in case anyone is looking for inspiration for their next holiday or was wondering where any of the items were from, I thought I would let you know!
The first day I wore this rust coloured playsuit from River Island. I found it on the sale part of their website, it was down to £15, and I would say if you haven’t already checked this section of their site out then you definitely should because there are loads of great bargains and really pretty things! I wore it with my black hat which I got about 3 years ago, but I would always recommend a big hat as a statement piece for your summer outfit- it also keeps your head from getting burnt!
For Primavera Sound festival I wore a long kimono top from Miss Selfridge with a black bralet underneath and some black shorts. I loved this outfit simply because I was so excited to try out some festival fashion and go a little bit bolder than usual. I purchased a three piece gold necklace from Primark as well as a multi pack of gold rings to wear like Phoebe Buffay. For my makeup for the festival, I didn’t really go extra with the glitter or anything, I just did a bit of a smokey eye with winged eye liner and a bit more highlighter than usual.
Another one of my daytime outfits was this skirt and bandeau top combo. The skirt was £10 from Primark, I bought it in the Argyle Street store just over a week ago, they had it in multiple colours but surprise surprise, I chose the red one! I love a midi skirt for holidays because they always remind me of Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday and her style is my constant inspiration. I wore it with this patterned bandeau from Topshop- I think a midi skirt can be quite a mature piece to wear, so if you are younger then a crop top like this can be a good way to keep the look youthful!
One of my evening outfits was this green culotte jumpsuit which I bought in the River Island sale. I love this green colour since it is bold for anyone with pale skin who needs a “colour” as my mum always says, so you don’t look washed out. This jumpsuit was just the right amount of fancy yet paired with some trainers keeps the look from going overboard. I love the off the shoulder style with a statement necklace, I always try to take a lot of accesories with me so I can choose which one will match each outfit.
The last thing is this Zara playsuit which I have talked about previously. I just love the bold colours and floral print, and it was also so comfortable and cool to wear walking around the city so I would definitely recommend it!
