There is a reason we always go back to florals for Spring (even though Miranda Priestley may not approve) as the print reminds us of the flowers blooming and summer looming; in my opinion it never gets old. I always look forward to Spring so that my wardrobe becomes slightly more colourful and am excited to see the new dresses and prints for the upcoming season and this year is no different. Whether you have a wedding, a Christening or just a day out with the girls, a floral item is the ultimate spring wardrobe staple.
This year, I was actually lucky enough for my parents to have given me a very pretty Zara floral playsuit for my birthday and so it is already ticked off my list. It is quite quirky but still has that classic floral print I go back to time and time again; I am hoping to wear it soon when the sun begins to show a little more here. What I love about this playsuit is that it can be worn for a fancy occasion, or simply for a day out simply by changing a few of the key accessories, which is something I often look for in clothes. By finding a way to transition an outfit, it saves a lot of money on two different outfits which is a major advantage!
The main thing I would change to transition this look from casual to fancy is by changing accessories and makeup. For the casual look I would simply put on a pair trainers or pumps with a across body bag and would keep my makeup very simple and light. I have also chosen to choose accessories which bring out the lighter shades of the playsuit.
For an occasion, I would change into some high heels and a clutch bag, also add some more extravagant earrings and wear a bolder lip colour to bring out the colour in the dress. I have also chosen darker accesories to enhance the bolder look for a fancy occasion.
I cannot wait for the sunny days to come when I can finally wear this floral playsuit out and about, hopefully they will come soon! If you like it, I shall leave the link below and you can check it out!
