My Autumn Essentials
As I have previously mentioned, I am a massive fan of Autumn for one thing… the clothes! It is probably my favourite season to dress because every year I completely fall in love with the coats, scarfs and boots (the raincoats not as much). But there is obviously an element of practicality needing to be remembered when dressing for those Scottish rainy days to come, so here are some of the autumn
Chelsea boots
One of my best friends (hi B!) came in to school one day a few years ago with the first pair of Chelsea boots I had seen, I loved them so much and ever since they have been an essential item in my wardrobe, as they honestly go with just about anything, so whenever I am having a crisis over what shoes I should wear, they are always a reliable item to fall back on. They go great with jeans, skirts, dresses; I love them!

Trench coat
A trench coat is that piece of clothing I have always dreamed of having but I have never felt old enough to pull it off, however now that I am starting university I feel like the time is right for me to finally invest in one! I always think they look so chic and classic and are perfect for those Autumn days ahead.

Jumper
A simple knitted jumper with some jeans is a great
outfit for anyone at this time of year! It’s effortless and keeps you warm- what more could you want!

Deep Red Jeans
I have had the same pair of burgundy jeans in my wardrobe for five years and I still love them! Burgundy is one of my favourite Autumn/ W
inter colours and a pair of trousers this colour are the perfect way to make your look slightly different from the usual black jeans! I would find it too difficult to part with mine!
Big scarf
Big scarfs are the best way to keep yourself warm d
uring the colder days, while they are also a really cool addition to your outfit! I have my eye on a few in Primark right now.

Check skirt
Preppy style is not just great in ‘Clueless’, it is perfect for Autumn too! I love Peter Pan collars and hairbands and for this season I love a check skirt with some black/ navy tights with some brogues or some Chelsea boots!

Umbrella
Always keep an umbrella in your bag!!
Raincoats
I always hated wearing raincoats because I thought it would ruin my outfit, but recently I have spotted so many really stylish raincoats which look great with any outfit! High street stores sell them in so many colours that there are so many options, but I personally like the bright yellow ones which are very popular
at the moment, as well as this Zara one I am constantly stealing from my sister’s wardrobe.
